Laser cutting is the process of cutting through a material using laser light. The material in the cut is either melted, vaporised or burnt away.
Laser cutting is useful for many industries thanks to the intricate designs that are able to be cut, through the fact that there is no mechanical pressure required, and because of the low heat input compared to some other methods of cutting materials.
Compared to hand cutting or die-cutting, laser cutting is also very cost effective.
